Just telling someone to think of a string is NOT going to help them do a pirouette!  It's like "oh, thanks,  I never thought of that!" :roll:

And as a parent who spent years around a ballet studio -- "Scholarship" does not necessarily mean the student is already accomplished; some scholarships are given based on a student's potential and as a way to encourage a student who could develop over time into a great dancer. Just something to note.

Scholarships are also not necessarily about a student's financial need. Our studio had certain scholarships that were given like awards, to recognize students' efforts, with the benefit of continuing to encourage them to dance.

So it's actually not weird in the dance studio world to have "scholarships" that are not given to an already perfect dancer, and that are not tied to financial need. [/quote]
