There are those that live in fear, oppressed by others’ rules and those that don’t. Those the fear hate those that don’t and will do everything in their power to bring those that aren’t fearful down to their level. Meanwhile, all the states are starting to lift their mask mandates. It’s time to get over your fear.
I’m not living in fear. I work in the public everyday and have throughout the whole pandemic. I follow the recommendations and somehow I’ve yet to catch Covid. My family has also been Covid free as well as nearly all of my colleagues and friends. All by simply following some pretty simple guidelines like wearing a mask in public. But if wearing a mask makes you look scared that is a pretty rational reason to not wear one. And yes, mandates are lifting, in some places based on real data and set metrics but unfortunately for Virginia such metrics are not being used or at least communicated. I’m vaxed and pretty certain that if I catch it now it will be quite mild but why do I want the hassle of catching it now and since I my family and myself have made it this far without catching it I’d kinda like to see that through. But I can pull the receipts in this thread of all you non-mask wearing folks who have had Covid as well as family members. Funny how that works.
+100 us too. We're fully vaxxed and boosted, and wear N95/KN95 masks whenever we are near others, and it has kept all of us COVID-free.
+1
-1 I’m vaxxed, booster and mask everywhere, including N95 in the office. Still got covid.
You can thank someone who likely didn't wear a mask who passed Covid on to you. That is the whole point of mask, they are intended to first contain covid if someone has it then the mask can also offer some limited protection from catching Covid. But if someone is wearing their mask below their nose, under their chin or not at all they are breathing it out freely into God's Fresh Air for you to inhale. But, you know, mandates and all. If the store doesn't require masks then Covid stays outside.
Nope, WRONG. I actually KNOW how I was infected. I was infected by a coworker - who was also vaccinated and had her booster, and wore an N95 per our office policy. Everyone in our office got infected in early January within two days. All six of us. Sorry, but out in the real world this virus doesn’t follow your Dogmatic rules.
How do you know which coworker infected you if everyone was infected at once?
And how do you know that no one took their mask off to eat/drink?
