The only place I’ve ever heard of APE is on these weird DCUM threads where a bunch of supporters claim it’s not a right wing organization, while at the same time saying that of course lots of democrats are going to vote for Youngkin (um, no, that’s not a thing) and we’re not anti-mask but we shouldn’t make kids wear masks and we’re all about kids’ health but we shouldn’t allow quarantine if there’s exposure. And it just goes on and on. Stop denying what you are and just do your thing. Fighting battles on DCUM because you think somebody on the internet is wrong makes it impossible to take APE seriously.
Not in APE, but there a a certain irony? tone deafness? to calling out APE like this in a thread started by someone looking to smear APE.
The safety crowd knows no depths. They are irrelevant and are bitter -- just trying to take down the bipartisan work that APE is advancing on behalf of all APS parents, including the safety crowd, by the way. I wish the safety nutz would move on and let APE do its thing.
Well. I guess APE would consider me a safety nut because I'm glad we have safety measures in schools. I'm grateful to those who advocated for them and I'm grateful to APS for putting them in place. This way my kid can attend school and hopefully not get Covid. He's already been exposed once and I'm pretty sure it's those safety measures that those so-called safety nutz pushed that saved him from getting it.
I'm really disturbed by APE's continued opposition to safety measures and constant push to remove them.
I'm sorry but this response is just so dramatic. Have you walked around Arlington and DC recently? The museums and restaurants are full, and even ballet and theater is back. And cases are on a steady decline with a children's vaccine on the horizon. It's time to start adjusting to a NEW normal. By all means, continue to advocate for safe schools and maybe refocus your intense passion on even more disturbing safety issues like gun control and child abuse.
