I did listen to it, and heard nothing to indicate that Clinesmith spoke to Page’s attorney in March 2017 (but perhaps the video I found edited it out or something).   Since you’ve declined to verify your statement, I will assume you made it in error.[/quote]

He didn’t actually specify the context of that conversation or what was said (nor was he a party to it).  It’s interesting, though, that despite knowing about this purported conversation, Durham didn’t include it in Clinesmith’s plea agreement as evidence that Clinesmith knew Page was a source when he amended the email to say otherwise.  Given that Durham is going for a sentencing enhancement, that would be significant.  Overall, I’m going to maintain a healthy skepticism about Page’s claims here.[/quote]
