I thought this was a parody the first time I saw it. But no, she really is an angry, self-obsessed little jerk. https://twitter.com/CBSNews/status/1147366667313405952 Normal, rational, polite people: "Good luck in the Gold Cup final, guys. We're rooting for you!" Megan Rapinoe: "F**k you for stealing our limelight."
I will consider your pov when FIFA pays winning women the same as the loser men.
 Christian Pulisic isn't getting rich off what FIFA "pays" him for international play. In fact, I don't think they're paying him anything at all. He became the most expensive US player ever (transfer fee: $73 million, which is probably more than the entire USWNT is worth) because of his club play for Dortmund and because Chelsea has a fan base big enough to support that kind of money for a single player. I think you mean US Soccer, not FIFA. But even then, facts are facts. Male players make more money internationally because the men's game is vastly more popular. And the constant politicization of the women's game by Rapinoe, her teammates and their fangirls likely will make that divide even worse. Go ahead and celebrate in your little bubble, but keep in mind that half of this country knows that the USWNT's behavior has made a mockery of the "One Nation, One Team" slogan and will react accordingly. Signed: Someone who was a fan in 2015 and watched every game, but couldn't care less this year.
I realize you desperately want this to be true. However, it is not. The heavyweight sponsors who only do what make them the most money are evidence of this.
Really? Then what are they (and you) whining about? They're already getting paid. I'd love to stay and argue, but I'm busy watching the "meaningless" Copa America final, because I want to see what happens when a group of players actually lives the "One Nation, One Team" slogan and unites their country behind them instead of just mouthing the words as a marketing slogan while making a mockery of them in reality.
