Randall still frustrates me with his superhero act (trying to protect Beth's feelings). He has a strong, smart wife and while sometimes he seems to recognize how much of an asset she is, other times he seems patronizing toward her.

I also appreciated the scene with Nicky and Jack where Nicky describes what happened to his CO.  You could tell that it never crossed Jack's mind that people could turn on you like that, even during war.  It also reinforces how difficult it was for the GIs in Vietnam.  I have a bad feeling that Nicky is going to get killed under Jack's watch. [/quote]
