[/quote] You're absolutely nuts and a total liar. The shitty compromise is to allow filer to "take" $10K deduction either for property taxes or state income taxes. That's still a massive change from today. Huge. Especially in places like NY and NJ where a two income household is easily taking a combined SALT and mortgage interest deduction of nearly $50K.
