I love it how some posters are all about diversity and inclusivity when it suits their cause but there was no outrage when the summer camp became a paid camp and effectively displaced all the lower class poor diverse families that depended on it and whom now can't attend because they can't pay the fees. Where is the outrage when reports state that diversity kids are scoring less than the white kids at the school on tests and when diverse kids are disciplined in different ways than white kids? The sense of entitlement kills me where a few people decided that since they live in the NE and bought property there they can now force the school to stay there or bus their kids because it's convenient to them but yes let's keep saying that this outrage is for the sake of diversity and sense of place in the community. Give me a break, LAMB can relocate to wherever they want and is your choice as a parent to follow them or find something else.
Thank you for this! Exactly. No one who genuinely cares about and understands diversity is going to use terms like poor blacks. In addition, "poor blacks" and everyone else who is any class (not this reference to lower middle class whites and poor diverse families, what the heck!), wants their kids to have a quality type private education in a public school. That is the whole point of a great public school - to provide an excellent education not a second class education. And Lamb is doing that well for so many families, as evidenced by the meeting tonight. And we are all going to follow Lamb to beautiful Kingsbury, even if it makes our commute difficult. Sorry if one bitter family posting here cannot make that work.
