If girls are waiting to commit is it because they have to visit the school? Or is it because they are waiting to hear from a school they like better? If that is the case, for the school they like better wouldn’t that school have contacted them on September 1st and they should know or not if the school likes them? Or is it possible the school hasn’t contacted them at all yet but the player is hoping to hear from them as recruits accept and decline?
There could be a million reasons. This is a very long process. If you would like to truly get in the weeds about this you can join the Facebook group "Recruiting Discussion: Parent-to-Parent Women’s College Lacrosse"
Some girls may be waiting for NESCACs or D3s which don't offer until later
They don’t “offer later,” with few exceptions they take kids that didn’t get the D1 offer they wanted. Almost no one chooses Middlebury over Yale, they end up there after Yale passes.
yes most want to go D1 but then the Just not true. There kids who specially want D3.
Yeah, hence the “few exceptions” part, but most kids want to go D1. Do you not agree? Sure, some are legacy kids who are going to Tufts regardless, but that is an exception.
A lot of them start out wanting to go D1 but when they don't get the school they want if they truly want to plan in college they reevaluate and start looking D3.
D3 is attractive if you want to go pre-med, engineering, lawyer etc. Most D1 players can’t pursue those majors due to time constraints. A lot of business and communication majors.
Shhhhhhh just, just be quiet….. You have any data to back this up or you just going in feels? If you aren’t sharing a commitment or congratulating a commitment. Please keep this super insightful commentary to yourself.
