This change will not impact the Spring 2026 season and our current travel teams will remain as they were in Fall 2025. This change will begin for the Fall 2026 season such that this year's Competitive Academy tryouts will run by August 1 + grade year.

Agree or disagree, teams will apply the league’s rule to put together next season’s rosters.

MLSN allows bio-banding. That is the only way for a player to play on a team below the 12 month cutoff set by the league.

Playing up on an older team has always been allowed.

It's loophole to the parent if that younger kid takes your kid's spot when that kid can, maybe should, play on age, especially if the club mandates all kids do it, rather than case-by-case. It makes it not about the soccer.[/quote]
