Pipeline’s Jacob Mays (USYNT 2011 national team) gets off DCUA’s protected list and immediately signs with Philadelphia Union’s Academy.
To be clear, because everyone misquotes this. The team is a 'futures' camp. The futures camp per the website is " for players from ages 14 to 16 years old, with the goal of identifying, supporting and developing high-potential players who physically mature later than their peers." Futures is different from the regular camp. Still an accomplishment. Also to note, 3 players from dcua are on the 2010 actual national team roster.
Please don't feed the troll. Especially giving him the true facts and insider information he wants A lot of his/her toxic posts are fishing expeditions just hoping to continue the thread for their jaded satisfaction or fishing for information to continue their agenda Also a fact. Pipeline is closer to Philly Union than DCU. So a kid choosing the closer academy doesn't require high IQ to understand. Duh
He was on DCUA’s protected list so clearly they didn’t think he should have picked the closer (and better) academy.
