Did anyone get bombed? Did anyone get strafed? Was there any single weapon directed at the people holding the press conference? Were the jets unannounced? Were the jets flown to harass and intimidate the press conference?

No, no, no, no and no. I know the people at the press conference think the world revolves around them, but there WERE other things going on in Washington. Such as a HEAD of STATE from a NATO ally was visiting the PRESIDENT at the WHITE HOUSE on an official visit. Said Head of State admires our military greatly, so President Trump wisely ordered a flyover to be viewed from the South Lawn so that he could foster good relations with said Head of State.

The press conference people were just dumb enough to run a press conference during the state visit and the scheduled, announced flyover. Just as these girls were dumb enough to get on a plane with [b]powerful men who had earned sexual favors because of their accomplishments.[/b] If these girls didn’t want to get involved, all they had to do was stay home. I’ve seen studies finding that a certain subset of women is the MOST invested in victim-blaming in sexual assault situations. Most meaning, more than all the subgroups of men in the study. It’s confusing until you realize that blaming the victims for their choices is a way to differentiate them from the woman making the judgment and therefore she can reassure herself that sexual assault will never happen to her. It’s a way to feel safe in an unsafe world.
