So many people have taken on their political party as their entire self worth. The way they identify themselves. Moreso than religion or ethnicity or other social construct.  The fact that the internet and social media throw us into confirmation bias loops all day is the powerful drug that keeps us there. People are much less likely to think independently or critically.  They side with their side, because to do anything else is the ultimate destruction of self.

These are either MAGA cultists or elected GOP would rather weasel their way into  cheap votes rather than focus on policies that help Americans (not CEOs). Think of Vance’s “they’re eating cats, they’re eating dogs” which he even admitted was for political expediency.

Remember how people voted for the GOP in 2020 even though it had NO policy platform at the convention. Talk about voting for the whims of a political party!
