IMO a good director knows how to oversee the coaches and makes sure communication and high level decisions are communicated properly and timely. I was at a club where the director would drop in from time to time and then get too involved in team decisions overriding the coach and it was a mess. He would make promises directly to the team but never follow through. He was a collegiate coach and thought showing up a few times would make us feel better bc of his titles, but he was not actually present enough to really know teams he was making decisions for... With that said, not sure particularly about MYS and what these changes mean...[/quote]
