The F-S site is really hard to get to from within the Hardy boundaries, it basically means traversing Georgetown during morning rush hour, and there's no transit that makes that route. Site-wise, it's hard to see anyone who is IB for Wilson today seeing that as an upgrade.
Not true about the transit. The 30 buses head right through Glover Park and Georgetown: Wisconsin > M > Pennsylvania. From Pennsylvania, it's an easy 4-block walk to F-S. Not saying that I agree that F-S as a "second Wilson" being a good or practical idea, but the notion that it's unreachable for kids who managed to get to Hardy is silly. As for the rest of Hardy's potential students from Palisades, Wesley Heights, etc., those areas are underserved by transit anyway, so kids getting to a post-Hardy, hypothetically-non-Wilson high school from those neighborhoods by bus or metro probably isn't going to happen; to the extent that any of these kids currently go to Wilson, they're probably arriving by car.
The M4 bus goes up Arizona Avenue to Tenleytown every 20 minutes, eight minutes from MacArthur and Arizona to Wilson according to the schedule. Most of the Wilson and Deal kids from Palisades and AU Park take that bus. There's nothing even remotely comparable going east.
