[/quote] For late birthdays (our DC has one too), I think the issue is that the teachers are supposed to record only behaviors that they observe in the classroom. So even if they know that your DC is young and believe that he/she has potential, they still need to honestly record on the form only examples of gifted behaviors they have seen, which could be less than for older children simply because of age. DC's teacher kept files throughout the year and wrote down things the children said and put in samples of their work. [/quote]
