*Lisa Dale, the new head of development, invited staff to pray during a May meeting—eliciting an audible gasp from some employees.
She dropped the request after the reaction. In the same meeting, she warned that insubordination could be grounds for dismissal.

[b]Vegas-style artist residencies[/b]:

Grenell has proposed long-term “residency-style” engagements for major stars, where they would perform over multiple weeks (Dolly Parton was given as an example). This aligns with the administration's artistic taste, potentially draws more conservative audiences, and may provide financial stability through longer-run shows.

[b]Fundraising[/b]:

*The biggest moneymaking push for the Kennedy Center is the June 11 fundraiser for “Les Misérables.”  The evening is being treated like a traditional fundraiser at which major donors can buy a table and then dole out seats. Several “Les Misérables” performers in the production have said they plan to skip the performance in protest. Among the donation levels is the [u]Gold tier for $2 million, which includes a reception, “premier seating” for 10 and a photo with Trump[/u], according to a draft of the invitation seen by the Journal.

*Trump officials are courting wealthy donors, embassies, and even foreign governments for support, including Qatar for lounge. renovations.
