My company grabs every Ukrainian refugee they can find because they are much better educated and have more current tech knowledge.  After World War II, my grandfather and his three brothers -- who never would have had access to any higher education -- used the GI to study engineering. All worked for big companies.  My father and  many of his cousins went into either engineering, math, economics, computer science or similar "hard" fields. The department of education has existed in some form since 1867.  It’s been around in many forms, including being combined with other cabinet agencies, at various times.  But it’s been performing the functions for a long time.  [/quote]
