I wish I had the privilege to just pull my kids out of APS and go to private school like Miranda does.
Well that sounds bitter. She has 3 kids and 2 are in APS. And the kid in private apparently coming back to APS. You have no idea why one is in private or how they are managing it. Even one of our current SB members has or had kids in private school. Loads of APS families have one kid in private and others in APS. Most common for parents of SWDS. Focus on how to make APS better for all kids rather than worrying about what other families do.
This is a privilege that most parents do not have. I have a child with severe special needs and I can't afford to pull them out of APS. Even if I could, I'm not sure a private school would take them. Why didn't she keep her kid in public and focus on making APS better for all kids, as you say? This would include mine. And for that matter, I also find it interesting that she didn't keep her kids in Drew but decamped for Montessori.
Is Erin's neighborhood school a S. Arlington high FARMs school too? Erin's kids are all in APS right? It's not a good look when you don't send your kids to your high FARMS high minority neighborhood school. Wonder how that will play in the election.
I don't disagree but it is not going to matter. Erin has some kids at an option school too.

Did Erin put her kids in an option school to avoid her neighborhood school that has brown kids in it?
Lol. If Erin lives in Cherrydale her children's neighborhood school is either Glebe or ASFS. Key has more brown kids.
