Republicans always throw stones back, even when there is nothing there. Look at the past 20 years. They threw the first stones with Newt and continue to do so. Doesn't matter what Democrats do or don't do, republicans will continue to investigate and throw stones and rhetoric.

I'm fine to top treating them with kid gloves, by nominating Trump Republicans indicated they are no longer the party of "morality" or "law and order" they pretend to be.
