I have always thought STA had the stronger academic persona amongst the IAC schools.

I have also always been under the belief Landon and Prep are very similar when it comes to academic reputation - one happens to be Catholic, the other is not.

Yes, STA is the strongest but Prep is right behind it and very similar. I would say STA and Prep are the same at the top and middle, but it’s the bottom group at Prep that might have a wider range than STA. Landon is one tier below. STA and Prep are also very sought-after and have fairly low acceptance rates. Landon is popular, but not at the same level as STA and Prep. Landon has been known to still have spots available in certain grades in the summer months, hence the emails they send out announcing they have availability and trying to recruit boys for these open spots.

STA average SAT score is 1410
Prep average SAT score is 1386
Landon average SAT score is 1320

Prep faculty with advanced degrees 85%
STA faculty with advanced degrees 80%
Landon faculty with advanced degrees 70%

Prep ranked #1 for lowest acceptance rate for private schools in Maryland.

41% of Prep’s 2021 class attended top 40 USNWR national universities.
33% of Landon’s 2021 class….

Don't know the accuracy of Niche.com but it Puts Prep's SAT at 1350 and Landon's at 1340.  Not that great a difference if Niche.com is accurate. [/quote]

Boy, the haters are out in full force tonight. Niche.com is incorrect. The pp’s numbers came directly from the schools’ in questions websites. You can’t trust random websites, as there is another one out there that claims Prep average SAT is 1400. The original numbers are correct, as well as the other data.[/quote]
