Fauci has served under six Presidents faithfully and without censure. He was an excellent public health scientist under Obama and tried to mitigate the disaster that is Trump. I’m not holding that against him - he held the line until Biden could get to us when others faltered and failed. [/quote]

Come on though. Birx is getting the hits (deservedly) but Fauci too could have done differently. I haven’t walked in his shoes so don’t know. But I think it might be good to go back into NIH and advisory retirement with the nation’s love and accolades. How did we end up in a place where half the nation believes not wearing masks is fine, almost a year into this Covid technical
leadership.
