5’4” 118, size 2 in tops and dresses but size 25/26 in designer jeans (I have a butt and hips).
You sound like me! A lot of cheaply made jeans don't "square" a 25 inch waist and 37 inch hip like mine, haha. This thread is interesting. Not just about vanity sizing of course but also that body composition is so overlooked when it comes to numbers on the scale. You can weigh a lot more than somebody but be the same size if you are solid muscle, have heavier bone density. I used to go to My Body Gallery and look at women my height and weight, and a lot of them look a lot more average looking and not thin if they have less muscle and more fluff.
But these numbers really seem meaningless without context for vanity sizing. A size 2 at old navy is a size 8-10 in higher end brands. Look at the people who are saying they weigh 154 lbs at 5’4 and are a size two and I’m not sure it’s possible that one could be dense enough to be a size two. I think the real point of the thread is that sizes are now pretty meaningless and good luck online shopping.
