Its not clear who she was accusing of "dual allegiance" since she did not use either the words Jew, evangelical, or member of congress.
For that matter, she didn't use the words "dual allegiance".
Who gives a sh*t at this point.
Nerds get caught up in minutiae, because there is a tremendous and fulfilling sense of control in understanding every single detail of a thing more than any other living creature. -Chris Hardwick
I'm not calling you a nerd; I'm only proving a point about minutiae. Omar isn't entirely wrong in her thinking. However, she needs to pull back and calm the f*ck down before making any other statements. She is angry and resentful - and her statements are only growing the gap between the liberals and conservatives in this country. Regarding "dual allegiance," if all American Jews completed a likert scale on allegiance to Israel, you'd see the full gamut. I have Conservative pals who can't stand Israel - yet have sent their kids to Israel on a school trip. I have more liberal pals who have no opinion on Israel. And my son's preschool director (Yes, we sent our son to a Jewish preschool - and we're not religious.) would express frustration about the contentious relationship between Israelis and Muslims b/c there are MORE similarities than differences! It's all gray, and the focus on minutiae gets us nowhere. Maybe we should stop attacking each other and figure out ways to better humanity. cuz guess what? I pee just as you do; I simply have a different "vehicle" for doing so.
