Big moves from McLean on a Friday afternoon. Harkes in at TD bumping CW down to girls director and the new guy in at boys director. At least they’re trying to turn the boat around.
too little too late--they already lost the pathway for BOTH boys and girls by giving up ECNL to a seperate entity with different leadership and decisionmaking...The MYS Board drove the boys program into the ground by turning a blind eye and allowing years of a de facto girls only TD to sit at the top, and that ultimately was the club's downfall...and ironically it took the girl's program down with it. Teams have been decimated and they lost mulitple years of player talent to other clubs. Sometimes you can't see the forest for the trees... Hope those moving to FVU (and yes, its a move because it is no longer MYS) do well and that FVU doesn't make the same mistakes ECNL has shown they don't discriminate by gender--both need to be on equal footing and successful. One sinks and it takes the other with it....
