Why trash DC United? The level of soccer on the pro player pathway is incredibly high? Every MLS team is strong. These athletes are playing against great competition and working hard. Let them be.
I am not the prior posters but as long as DCU has the ability to tag a kid who never played with them and inhibit their ability to train with another academy, they deserve to be trashed IMHO. From the “available” data, they are the outlier in this technique but it trends with how they operate. There is no, “we’re working to be better” when you highlight the noticeable and apparent issues with the academy. As soon as someone can provide a way to get a permanent waiver to be removed from the +5 list, I will never pop into this feed again. Pass the word. There are at least 10 DMV kids in Philly PPP programs to circumvent the +5 list. Let me know if you find 5 Philly kids in RDS. Prove to the most talented DMV players you are worth staying for my giving people the option to leave. Do that and the trash will stop and you will begin to gain respect again. If a rising U15 rejects DCU, LET THEM BE.
