There was a BRAC meeting yesterday.

If it was like the previous meetings, the incompetent consultant rush selected without an FCPS RFP continued to push unnecessary boundary changes while ignoring Coates current overcrowding. FCPS continued to forge ahead against the clear signals from all the community meetings that the county residents and parents overwhelmingly do not support the comprehensive review.

And then we’ll do this again in 5 years, because ???

I would assume that future reviews will only focus on schools that are overcrowded or under capacity in order to look at ways to relieve a school or add pupils/determine if the school is still needed. [/quote]

Since the BRAC is not asked to look at the CIP to determine if FCPS is allocating its capital resources sensibly, its existence merely gives the School Board cover for FCPS’s own poor planning.  Shuffling kids around should always be the last resort, something the deviants on the School Board fail to grasp. [/quote]
