What was defeated? The ayatollahs are still there and the regime change failed three times in less than 12 months. The ayatollah is not the shah of Iran and he’s not Saddam Hussein. They were too decadent so it was easy for the people to rise up and tear them down. The ayatollah helped the poor in Iran to rise up with free education, healthcare, and most controversially, wealth redistribution which is why  Iranian Americans and in London (the wealthy class pre Islamic Revolution) hate him. It’s like Cubans in Cuba liking Castro but rich Cubans in Miami hating him.

Where in that post did you see praise? All I mentioned was the reality of the situation. Another ayatollah is still there-more anti western than his father. His father and sister were just killed so he isn’t going to be a happy camper. He isn’t going to “stop” the ballistic missile program and now Iran will work harder than ever with their uranium enrichment program and so will all our allies in the Middle East starting with the Saudis. They saw that the US protection agreement failed when the bases were hit. We kinda left them hanging only concerned  with saving Israel. They’re going to all want nukes for their own protection because a US military base doesn’t guarantee their safety. Netanyahu just made all the Me want nukes right now. He’s such a moron. He always makes things worse for his country [/quote]
