I do!

I’m an elementary school teacher who does carpool drop off and pick up duty.

I walk in and out and amongst cars, often large vans, looking out for children, all the time. I walk around “standing” cars (Ie not parked; parents are in the and can drive away at any moment) while I may sometimes walk a child around the car and help them get into their seat.

Cars pulling out out and around other cars with no warning sometimes. Parents are distracted; in a rush. Parents sometimes mouth off to us teachers, for just doing our jobs.

I know the rules- if you are in a street or driving lane of a parking lot, you need to stay alert and stay out of the way of a car.

Until the ice agent decided to pull his gun, the situation was no more dangerous than what I face on a daily basis.

I have no doubt that I would have handled the situation far better than he did. Because I would have just let her drive her car away instead of deliberately stepping in front of a car to try to use the force of my bodily presence to stop the car.[/quote]

Dean Withers' IG break down of the footage shows he is standing on the ball of his right foot and calf forward toward the car when he first shot. If you're getting mowed over, the body's instinct would take over, and you'd probably fall down backward as a reflex because your weight would shift AWAY from the car.
