OP on the pg 29 first recipe above. This is more about Jen being cute and and her cute stories and thinking she’s cute with her cute stories and people buying the cookbooks and being mesmerized about how cute she is and she has 5 kids and her 26 year old marriage fell apart and hey, y’all, here’s my recipe for (fill in the blank). I too love to cook and make up and throw in spices and herbs randomly. I also have a LOT of cookbooks. But when I go for a cookbook, I want a COOKbook. Not about when you you had a bunch of people and you threw together some chicken and dumplings and all your bffs raving about your cheeseball appetizer (disclaimer-no idea if these are actual recipes, just the vibe I got).
Yeah it's not *just* Jen, that's how most cookbooks are these days. Even online you have to scroll through paragraphs about toddlers, apple picking, and holiday memories before you get to the recipe.
