Most rich parents in the DMV believe that the perception of elitism and being elite is worth more than the actual development of their kid. For college entrance mainly. Why DCU is allowed to be what it is. They will put their kid in a program that is proven to be bad ust because they think that it gives them an elitist edge. Meanwhile, kids with less privilege, have no real access to the sport at the highest levels and rich parents just use it to get their kid into college.
Why do you always come beating the same exact drum about the financial standings of parents? Your insecurities around that issue is so clearly obvious You think Cavan Sullivan and the Aaronson brothers etc came from poverty? How many US Men's National team players playing professionally in Europe came from poverty? I guess the sons of successful athletes like Messi etc are doomed
This is exactly the attitude that kills the sport in this country. You need money to be successful. Every other successful football nation does the exact opposite. The best players in the world and in the history of the game have come from very modest or even poor backgrounds. The players you list are average players at best on a global scale.. Cavan Sullivan is the most overrated 16 year old I have ever seen Why he's still in the MLS despite having a European passport. Aaronson brothers are basically role players on their teams. And that goes for all of the US national team players. Role players on good club teams. Pulisic is slightly better than a role player and maybe McKinnie recently, but none of them can carry a team on their own. Why when they are asked to do that for the national team they can't do it. It's not a role they normally play and are comfortable with. The best players ever, Messi, Maradona, Pele, Ronaldo, R9, list could go on...came from nothing. We will never have a talent like this with your attitude being pervasive in the sport in this country. And it comes down to the fact that rich, soft, spoiled kids dominate the sport in the US and don't have the grit that a kid that comes from nothing has. They don't have the same motivation. When those kids have the same opportunity as rich kids we will be better off as a footballing nation.
Love watching you wallowing in your self pity and inferiority complex Players playing on Chelsea, Juventus etc are being bashed by a nothing nobody on an anonymous forum Hilarious
