I don't see Melanie Meren agreeing to let Fox Mill go. But, it sounds, from this thread, like a lot of Fox Mill people will opt in. They really need to drop IB at South Lakes.
Meren will definitely support Crossfield staying with Oakton. If then, Fox Mill has to go.
What makes you think that? I don't think she will let Fox Mill leave South Lakes. And, if Crossfield stays at Oakton, that is very likely.
Part of Crossfield is in Hunter Mill district.
A very small part.
Yet many Crossfield moms showed up at Meren’s community meeting. They were the most vocal group.
They have nothing better to do - most of them don't work. They are going to show up everywhere regardless of the intended topic and whether or not they live in her region so they can push to stay at Oakton.

I'm a Springfield mom, so I have no stake in this particular fight. But I don't think anyone should be surprised when people who deeply care about this show up anywhere Reid or a school board member is and talks about this. They've made it pretty clear that they're only listening to the loudest voices. So some voices are just going to be really loud and persistent.
And because no one wants their child to become a social pariah, the dissenters are going to remain quiet. I am one of them, there are several of us in this situation.
Alternate take: You may be lazy or you don’t care about your kids.
