You make it seem like colleges have never seen a protest before.  If it wasn't for this it'd be for something else.  You don't see vandalism everyday, but that's a problem for the colleges.[/quote]

Last year was not normal college protesting.

Most colleges have spent the summer figuring out what's going to work. And what's not. The NYTimes had a good article about it.

There's always going to be a space for free speech within certain parameters. Cross the lines, and colleges are making it pretty clear they will be swift and merciless with the suspensions and expulsions.
