I don't understand your point about whether or not it is any of my business.  I live in that community and have a child that attends the HS.

I think it is disrespectful for the attorney to come out and say his client did nothing wrong without having all the information: police report, toxicology, etc.  What if his client was high as a kite, driving 80 mph and had his lights off?  Would he still not be at fault?[/quote]

A couple of things:

1) The driver's attorney, to my knowledge, has not posted on DCUM. Therefore, he is not subject to the guidelines I established for posting on this topic.

2) You posted the quote from the attorney. Therefore, you are responsible for that speculation existing on DCUM. If you don't think such speculation should be allowed, why are you posting it?

3) When someone's attorney says, "My client is innocent", the normal reaction is to say, "we'll you are his attorney, what else would you say?" and ignore it completely.

4) Having introduced the attorney's speculation to DCUM, you seem to be hoping to use that as justification for your own speculation. My suggestion is to stop and stop now.
