Monday? A meeting solely to discuss the calendar? How much does that cost the tax payers?
They must have a calendar in place by the end of the month. Waiting until January isn't an option. I can't imagine this meeting will cost any significant amount of money.
It cost 5 million just to get options for a new school bell time. And 7 million to implement it.
Costs associated with the bell times was related to all that "research" and focus groups, etc. The original poster here seemed to be saying a meeting to solely discuss the taxpayers was going to cost money. How did implementation cost anything? One reason the 20 minute shift passed was that it was a near $0 cost option. As I recall, the extra 10 minutes for the paraeducators was not supposed to impact the budget. (But 10 minutes for the teachers would have impacted the budget.)
