Hi Peanut, pumpkin here, that's really nice about the maternity shoot. I didn't have formal portraits done but I do know that my son LOVES to look at pictures of me with a huge belly and say "that's me in there!" or ask "Was that when I was living in there?" which is really, really sweet. I've been having a pretty good week. It's my post about sciatica / pelvic girdle pain or whatever - it's kind of killing me lately - but I think if it's like last time it will go away. At least, I hope! Other than that things are pretty good. I have a ton of business travel (taking the fam) over the next few weeks and then I cannot wait for things to slow down. I definitely felt all the early movement when lying on my bed, either watching TV or internetting, with my back propped up on pillows. If you think you MIGHT be feeling something, try this trick, drink a glass of OJ then recline on some pillows and watch TV quietly, be still, see what you feel. When you pay attention, you can feel all sorts of things you never noticed before, silent gas bubbles, muscle twitches, different random spasms, even just your blood pumping around (I think Poppy (?) mentioned that one), but you might start feeling something just a little bit.....different. It's kind of cool to start doing it now, and paying attention to all of the little movements. Even if you don't feel The Real Thing for another month, you'll be more aware of the other things going on and less likely to be unsure of what you're feeling. It'll be like, is it? Is it? OMG, that's definitely the baby. I'M FEELING THE BABY MOVE! :) Then you get to have those moments just between you and the baby. I used to tel my DH "oh, he's moving around!" and he'd try to feel, but you can't feel it from the outside for a good while. (He'd still say "hello baby" so he did get in on some of the fun...). But, it's also something that is mostly between you and your baby at first, which is actually kind of really nice. I guarantee many of you will feel it before 22 weeks, that seems conservative based on my wholly unscientific recollection of when my other pregnant friends say they felt movement, but at the same time, don't get too bummed if you don't feel it sooner - I've also heard of moms not feeling it for ages past when they think they should. I swear, sometimes I do think I feel that little creature already this time, but I'm also aware that it is really, really early - so I'm definitely at the "not sure" but nice to think about "stage." Hope everyone is doing well! Has anyone else told any other family or friends? Any appointments or other excitement? I can still wear all of my pants, probably because most of them are lower in the waist to begin with or have a good deal of stretch. But, oh my goodness, the muffin top. :( For fun, I put on a maternity dress that is kind of fitted, but with space for the belly and let it all hang out and the mirror suggested I was 5 1/2 months pregnant, not 15 weeks!
