Question: If SPLC was doing this to deter white supremacy, what did they do with their information? If these guys were on the inside to give information to them, how did they use the information? This is not your father's SPLC.
Nonsense. They worked with law enforcement to have them arrested, they worked with victims and their families to get restitution, and so on. It's absolutely mind bending idiocy to keep peddling this moronic conspiracy theory that the SPLC was somehow running and funding the KKK. Independent estimates say the KKK has between 3000 and 8000 members. SPLC temporarily paid a handful of people to get inside information about KKK leaders, organizers, structure and activities. Do the math: A handful of informants divided by 3,000-8,000 is less than 0.1%. That math ain't mathin, for the dumb MAGA conspiracy theories to work!
What did they share with FBI regarding Charlottesville?
They shared a lot. They shared what they knew, names of organizers, names of organizations, names of their leaders, their known symbols and insignia, info about their prior violent incidents, online chatter about those groups mobilization efforts and intentions prior to Charlottesville. Those groups included League of the South, Tradiitionalist Worker Party, Identity Evropa, Vanguard America, National Socialist Movement, and various Klan factions. They provided screenshots, archived posts, discord server activity, evidence of interstate coordination and so on to the FBI. And who were the organizers identified? Jason Kessler, Richard Spencer, Matthew Heimbach, Michael Hill, Eli Mosley, Christopher Cantwell. NONE of these guys are SPLC employees or in any way affiliated with SPLC. Again, for fools to try and suggest Charlottesville was organized by SPLC, and then SPLC ratted themselves out, and that all of these well known far right extremists like Jason Kessler, Richard Spencer and others have all these years actually been lefty liberal SPLC employees cosplaying as right wing extremists on SPLC's payroll is mind numbingly stupid, if not outright batshit insane.
