I am failing to understand the crocodile tears from the right on the Virginia vote. Texas started this mess at the behest of Trump. Texas could have ignored it, but didn't.
Texas GOP redistricted themselves into losing seats, and now they are upset that Democrats aren't as incompetent
Hmmm Meatball Ron may want some of these people to lose 🤔 [twitter]https://x.com/peterschorschfl/status/2046930690537639939?s=61&t=I7ZozTDGmPOsC7cmSRxwgA[/twitter]
They've pushed gerrymandering about as far as they can without risk. Early on (can't remember which districts), Texas took 2 solid red seats and turned them into 5 moderate leaning seats (max +5). It would only take a gentle blue wave to flip all 5 seats. Blue states are just getting their redistricting toes wet. Red states are maxed out. The untapped potential of a blue tsunami is within reach. Hope DeSantis held on to those white rain boots!
+1 I continue to be shocked that Wisconsin hasn’t stepped up to fix their maps after the two Democratic-aligned Supreme Court justices got Assad-level numbers statewide. They’re still operating under a gerrymander by the supermajority R legislature. Also Colorado is in the works but I don’t think anything can happen there until 2028.
