I assume the offers are from different clubs?  If so, what you’re suggesting is frowned upon. A coach/club will make decisions on the remainder of the roster based on who has accepted. If your DD accepts a spot on the regional team they think they have that roster spot filled and will not make offers based on that. Putting together a club team with +/- 12 players is not the same as a college admitting students for a class of hundreds or thousands. They are trying to find the best 2-3 players available to them for each

Understood, but I assumed that if DD gave up her spot on the regional team they would go to their waitlist which would have a couple other girls they thought could be good options for the position.

This approach would seem to maximize happiness - national team and DD would both get their preferred outcome (vs national team having to go deeper into their waitlist with a less desired player if DD declines and DD getting a less preferred team).

A lot of girls aren’t waiting by Tues. If they haven’t heard by tonight, they are filling tomorrow with any tryouts they can find. Repeat that for Monday if they don’t have any offers by Sunday night.  And if nothing by Monday night, you check social media and email for last chance tryouts for Tuesday. You don’t sit around hoping to get off a wait list. [/quote]
