There is no Republican party anymore as most of us knew it growing up. It is now the MAGA party. Very different policies and values.
This. I would totally consider voting for a Republican that: - believed in tougher immigration policies - believed in fiscal conservatism - didn't believe in giving so much foreign aid (like to Israel) - truly believed in personal freedom and not intervening in the personal lives of citizens - believed in separation between church and state But these "conservatives" do not exist anymore. I will never, ever vote for the current crop of "Republicans" that are obsessed with forcing conservative Christianity upon the rest of us, wasting money according to their interests, and destroying our Democracy. OP the Republicans of yesteryear are dead. They do not exist. I don't love everything about Harris/Walz, but considering the options, it's the only sound choice. A vote for Trump is insanity. A vote for anyone else is really just a vote for Trump.
Not true. We are alive and well and may vote for Harris, but still alive and kicking.
But you don't have any candidates, so it doesn't amount to much.
Actually, that's where you are wrong. It matters so much now more than ever. Because I, like most common sense people, have my own personal political beliefs and values "regardless" of who any POTUS nominee. I am not a blind sheep voting for any candidate simply based on party affiliation. I vote based on most important issue(s) to me personally...but my political beliefs and values will not change. Republicans can vote for Democrats (I voted for Kaine) and also Republicans (I voted for Youngkin). I've never in all my life ever voted straight R or D. I vote based on the best candidate who aligns most with my political beliefs and values. Keeping in mind that it's the local state elections that will affect me personally the most...I will vote accordingly. As for POTUS, I have moments when I feel like sitting this election out in protest...fleeting moments mind you.
Then you are stupid here is why once Trump is installed we never vote again what do you not understand about that right?? This is not like past elections This is America bs losing all rights project 2025 and worse. Spare us you oh I voted rep and dem it’s not that this time It’s your god dammed right yo vote again!!!
And remember: The ultimate tragedy is not the oppression and cruelty by the bad people but the silence over that by the good people. MLK
