Today, every single year, american buy somewhere around ~20-25 million handguns and 5-8 million long guns rifles/shoguns. by comparison, all US police, federal law enforcement and military procures under 100,000 long guns a year. With the advent of 3d printing, it is getting easier and easier to manufacture firearms from your basement.

Threats to ban so called "assault weapons" have only led to skyrocketing sales, as america household stockpile of arms begins to even dwarf that of the soviet stockpile during the coldwar readied for a mainland invasion of europe.

CIA estimates back in the 90s that the soviet old coldwar stockpile of AK/RPKs/SKS during the coldwar was about 50-75 million, maybe 2/3 still functional

American in the last 20 years have stockpilled somewhere close to 60-80 million semi auto rifles. american civilian arsenal is starting to dwarf that of the soviet stockpiles

Face it. Its over. We are never getting rid of guns, you are never getting rid of "assault weapons". If anything as those things become more and more common, it will get harder and harder to ever ban them under Bruen.[/quote]
