Can we get back to topic? What will this look like? Biden is digging in so hard and now dares Dems to dislodge him at the convention. A horror show.
This is a disaster for Democrats that will continue to get worse whether he stays, in or gets out. Hard to say which is worse. If he stays, his cognitive decline is so rapid that he will be noticeably worse at the convention in August, and still worse at the September debate in September, and so on. The number of Dems and liberal media who bail on him will grow week to week, and the division within the party will become more acrimonious. And so long as Harris remains VP, she has to continue the fiction that he is just fine, which is destroying her own career. With every passing day her credibility tanks further. And, with every passing day, the ability to change candidates (and change out the sitting President) gets harder and more chaotic. (and by the way, what time of day would Biden give his speech at the convention - 2 PM?) But if he bails out, it could actually get even more ugly. Harris credibility is shot because she is leading the big lie that he is not cognitively impaired, putting the country in danger. Republicans will convene hearings to impeach her for that obvious deceit, and try for the next in line (Mike Johnson, Speaker of the House) to finish out Biden's term. The infighting among the Democrats between those who want to stick with Harris and those who don't will intensify, and of course the race card will be played. The winner of the election will be whichever party gets less bad attention than the other, and by that metric Trump, is going to keep on getting stronger and stronger.
