They have a minimum and maximum quota per school. It looks to me like they were taking top kids from my school. I don't know all the 20 students taken, but I know more than ten top kids who all got in and one who did not. That is not a lottery. They did say they would grade the essays with equity in mind, but it's not clear what that means. [/quote]
