OP here- I wanted to share some updates. We have not had any further violent incidents and the principal seems to be doing all she can. Many parents got individual phone calls and she sounded like she was working as hard as she could. One interesting item we heard was the kid in question had their tonsils out and is now behaving much better. I am hopeful that now the kid is on a much better trajectory. It sounds like they are getting the medical care needed. Many people in the community and school seem to reacting positively and earnestly to this situation. I am hopeful we are seeing a positive trend.
It’s not ok to shame or out kids here.
+1 Never understood why these posts are not deleted. You're out of line OP.
I get that this is a tricky topic but I don't see how OP was out of line? Did I miss something? We're not zoned for SCES, but I personally know two former SCES kindergarteners whose parents pulled them this year.
Because it was a troll post. The last "update" from the OP made that clear.
If only
Stop trolling the people gullible enough to believe this story.
Not OP but as a member of the community it is really frustrating to see this very real situation dismissed and denied. I know a child who was seriously hurt at the school this year. It seems pretty obvious from the thread that multiple posters corroborated the basic story. (No knowledge of OP’s most recent update.)
I don't deny there are real problems. But this story isn't one of them. Surely you know that given where the thread has gone. It is a disservice to the cause to make up or perpetuate obviously false stories.
Apart from the tonsils update, I have personal knowledge of many of the anecdotes on this thread (the water bottle being thrown at the para who needed stitches, kids getting concussion, a K teacher quitting on the spot). So no, I’m sorry to say this isn’t a fake.
