Having sex at the age of 14 whether one is dating a year or not is concerning. 
17 is average for first timers, 14 is simply way too young. [/quote]

17 is the AVERAGE. That means many do it younger and many older. 14 may be on the younger side but it’s not scandalous. [/quote]

My husband had sex for the first time at THIRTEEN. We have a great marriage, he’s smart, an excellent dad and is a productive member of society. 
No trauma here.

That you and your husband have persuaded yourselves that sex at 13 is ok does not make it so. The data and research unequivocally show sex at that age to be correlated with all kinds of bad outcomes. That you insist otherwise has more to do with your need to self-preserve than actual reality.[/quote]
