She didn’t just do this in one interview. She drew parallels in numerous interviews by saying she is pretty, not a puppet for her husband ,  a strong  singer,  and grew up rich. Implying Diana was not those things. She did it again when she played Etta James saying she is totally different because Etta was a heroin addict (as if we didn’t know obviously there’s a difference there) and she had a hard life .  Obviously, roles  aren’t supposed to be similar to yourself which is the point and why it’s called acting.

She also once said she loved acting because “it’s less drama than music”.

I guess she didn’t hear acting is literally called dramatic arts. She was really getting raked over the coals in the early TMZ days but luckily this was the era Britney was going crazy so nobody was paying much attention.

She kept putting her foot in her mouth so her team or Hwood stopped calling her for roles and she retreated back to music only.

I am curious what her husband or his family thinks when Ms. Knowles , dame from Texas, calls all the previous black icons as poor and from the ghetto . [/quote]
