For kitchen - she just doesn't understand that Indian cooking doesn't require ovens. So you have a basic cook top. It's not that it isn't modern it just isn't WESTERN which is a totally different thing.

Finally, access to western food was limited when I was in India, but it's much more common now. I'm sure Bangladesh doesn't have much, that said, obviously you can get Indian-flaored pizza. That's what we we do plus McDonalds lol.[/quote]

One correction - it wasn't cold in most of India. Obviously Darjeeling, Ladahk and the like were crazy cols. [/quote]
