You don’t ever want to be on a B team of a club unless you have no other options. Period
Mmmm. Idk. How many commits from pride black (0)? How many commits from YJMA (1 or 2)? cap orange 3 so far and probably 3 more d1 and lots d3
First, agree with the above poster that no player walks into a college camp tabula rasa. Colleges do a lot of homework before girls show up to their camps. Our DD started with camps of schools that are a longshot for anyone looking to get recruited (Top Ivy, etc.). It felt a bit like her $300+ per day was a meal ticket for assistant coaches. As she moved down the food chain to NESCAC and quasi-NESCAC schools, things changed. She would walk on the field and the coaches knew her name and made a point to connect her with current players and coaches. Lots of parents spend lots of money taking their daughters to camps for schools where they are unlikely to play lacrosse. Second, Capital Orange did pretty well in 2024 recruiting. Not a comprehensive list, but commits include Berkeley, Hopkins, Army, Howard, Amherst (3), Gettysburg, Butler, Chicago, Campbell, Mercer. Lots of parents relieved to be doing only one college application this fall!
