Why oh why do PPs keep bringing the conversation back to the sexuality/LGBTQ issues? Do you really think that the current school board's focus on these issues is what has led them astray?? That is ludicrous. Even if it's a bad decision to have that graphic novel in the library... fine. (That's a debate for a different day, one that happens regularly for all the new purchases, I am sure, but fine. We should all be able to accept that there are, likely many, questionable and even poor choices). Please, this is not the problem. Can we move on to the bigger picture? I have kids at these schools: Let's talk about the ACADEMIC decisions and policies. You are totally alienating those of us who want to talk about the quality of education.
