Curious if there is a breakdown of how many girls from what clubs made the Capital Orange team? From what I have read Blue is filled with Pride and Stars but what about Orange?
Hard to say at this point since I know a majority of girls form Pride and Stars who made the team turned the spots down. (I only know two who accepted). I know they are deep in their waitlist.
Not surprising, why would you go to a team that has zero chance of moving up to blue or getting any attention for recruiting?
PP poster here. As many issues that I have with Cap Orange, both of these statement are false. - Arguably the best player on Cap Blue 23, started out on Orange. She committed to Georgetown, her dream school, in October. generally 1 or 2 players are promoted/ demoted after 9th grade. - Exposure isn't an issue for Cap Orange. Even though Pride black is normally a better team, go to the sidelines of a big tourney. Usually more coaches watching Cap Orange until Pride Black is playing top MD or LI team.
I can only speak for my DDs class. When comparing Pride Black to Capital Orange it was like comparing apples to oranges as they say. Pride Black consistently played in the top brackets of most tournaments, meaning they played the top MD and LI teams. Pride was consistently ranked in the top 10-20 clubs during her time with Pride and played a top 5 toughest schedule each year. Capital Orange played in the mid-tier brackets and was consistently ranked in the 70-80 range. Covid impacted college coaches attending tournaments, so I can’t comment on colleges on the sidelines other than to say it was much lighter for all clubs during this time. Once things eased up coaches were back on the sidelines. In my DDs particular year there was a wide difference between Pride Black and Capital Orange. Not sure about other classes.
Hunh. Wondering how this worked as Pride black has only existed since the ‘22 class. That team was not good and didn’t get recruited much less scouted by any great schools. Cap Orange ‘22 did okay, better than Pride Black. Cap Orange ‘23 did as well as Pride Black ‘23 if not better. Maybe your DD is a ‘24 but I’ve never seen a Pride hs team ranked that high.
